UnaBiz brings back Sigfox 0G technology Free Connectivity Program for Dev Kits to support the developer communities to build Sigfox-based solutions easily. The program which was terminated on the 1st of July 2022 is brought back to life by request of the maker’s community due to the easy onboarding process.
The fastest way to get started with Sigfox 0G technology is to use a Dev Kit. UnaBiz has partnered with a large number of companies that provide development kits or evaluation boards to test and prototype with Sigfox 0G technology and to provide first-timers with accessible hardware.
Developers can choose their preferred Dev Kit on the Sigfox Partner Network website and visit the Developers page on the Sigfox website to request to connect their dev kit for free via an online form.
The creators of Sigfox have designed the LPWAN protocol in such a way that it only takes a few lines of code to start sending Sigfox messages. The first message is sent to the Sigfox network through neighbouring base stations if there is existing coverage in the area. Check out the Sigfox 0G Network Coverage Map.
Sigfox base stations then upload the message to the Sigfox Cloud, where makers can easily access it through the Sigfox Backend web interface, or its REST/Callback API.
What does this mean to Developers, Devices and Solution Makers?
- Easy access to Sigfox 0G technology at no cost and no commitment
- Access to Sigfox cloud and all API
- Be part of the Sigfox 0G community
